Fans eagerly anticipating the return of Netflix’s hit series Wednesday have yet another reason to get excited: Tim Burton has cast Anthony Michael Hall, reuniting the director and actor for the first time since their collaboration on the iconic 1990 film Edward Scissorhands.

Anthony Michael Hall’s role in the highly anticipated second season remains undisclosed, but his involvement marks a thrilling reunion for Tim Burton enthusiasts. Hall famously portrayed Jim, the jealous boyfriend opposite Winona Ryder’s Kim Boggs, ultimately becoming the film’s antagonist.

Hall, a beloved figure from classic John Hughes films like The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles, has maintained a diverse career spanning over four decades, recently starring in Amazon Prime’s Reacher and Halloween Kills alongside Jamie Lee Curtis.

Jenna Ortega returns in her acclaimed portrayal of Wednesday Addams, joined by returning cast members Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, and Fred Armisen reprising his role as Uncle Fester. Additionally, Emma Myers will reprise her role as Enid, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo returns as Sheriff Deputy Ritchie Santiago.

New additions to the regular cast for Season 2 include Billie Piper, Steve Buscemi, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor. The season will also feature notable guest appearances from Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, and Christopher Lloyd, iconically known as Uncle Fester from the original films.

Wednesday Season 2 will debut on Netflix on August 6, with its second part premiering September 3.
