Recent rumors suggest Marvel Studios may significantly alter their approach to Disney+ series following the upcoming “Vision” show. According to reports by Jeff Sneider via ComicBookMovie, “Vision,” tentatively titled “Vision Quest,” could be the final Marvel series prominently featuring characters from its cinematic universe. This change reportedly stems from concerns voiced by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who believes that watching Marvel’s interconnected films and series has begun to feel overly demanding for audiences.

Under this potential new strategy, future Marvel shows on Disney+ would primarily focus on characters designed specifically for streaming platforms, rather than the big-screen heroes viewers have grown accustomed to. These shows would maintain references to major film characters but avoid featuring them prominently, a practice similar to Vincent D’Onofrio’s indirect mention of Spider-Man in “Daredevil: Born Again.”

This rumored approach could simplify viewing for casual fans, reducing the perceived obligation to follow every Marvel production closely. However, dedicated fans have expressed mixed feelings. While some appreciate the more manageable storytelling structure, others worry that it may limit exciting crossover appearances and direct references that enrich the Marvel universe.

“Vision” is expected to debut in 2026, leaving room for speculation about Marvel’s future direction. The next confirmed Marvel series is “Ironheart,” premiering on Disney+ on June 24, as viewers await official confirmation or clarification on this rumored strategic shift.
