The original stars reunite for the highly-anticipated sequel arriving May 1, 2026.

20th Century Studios has confirmed that Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci will officially reprise their iconic roles in The Devil Wears Prada 2, joining previously announced returning stars Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt. The studio shared the news via social media, announcing that production has officially begun.

The sequel will reportedly center on Emily Charlton (Blunt), who has evolved from Miranda Priestly’s (Streep) former assistant into a powerful executive at a luxury brand. Emily now finds herself in a position of influence with advertising funds crucial to Miranda and her beloved Runway magazine. Details about Hathaway’s Andy Sachs and Tucci’s Nigel Kipling remain under wraps, leaving their current status following the first film unclear; Andy had left Runway for a journalism career, while Nigel’s future at the magazine was uncertain.

The creative team behind the original film, including director David Frankel, writer Aline Brosh McKenna, and producer Karen Rosenfelt, are also set to return for the sequel.

Confirmed Returning Cast:
